Daniel Haber, MD
Dr. Daniel Haber is a Harvard-trained, board-certified orthopedic surgeon. He focuses on treating conditions affecting the shoulder, hip, and knee. With extensive experience in both surgical and non-surgical treatments, Dr. Haber offers innovative minimally invasive options for adolescents and adults when conservative treatments no longer provide relief. He is dedicated to providing personalized care by thoroughly understanding his patients’ unique needs, goals, and limitations.
Dr. Haber graduated summa cum laude from Brigham Young University and then attended Dartmouth Medical School in Hanover, NH. There, he was inducted into the Mosenthal Surgical Honor Society and received the Freddy H. Fu Outstanding Medical Student in Orthopedics Award.
He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the prestigious Harvard Combined Orthopedic Residency Program, where he gained valuable experience treating children and adolescents at Boston Children’s Hospital. He also honed his skills in surgical and non-surgical fracture care at four major trauma centers: Massachusetts General Hospital, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, and Boston Children’s Hospital. Additionally, Dr. Haber trained in sports medicine under the same physicians who care for the New England Patriots, Boston Red Sox, Boston Celtics, and Boston Bruins.
Following residency, Dr. Haber pursued specialized fellowship training at the renowned Steadman Clinic and Steadman Philippon Research Institute in Vail, Colorado. There, he refined his skills in arthroscopic and open surgical techniques to treat complex shoulder, hip, and knee disorders.
Dr. Haber has had the privilege of caring for professional athletes from the NFL, MLB, NHL, NBA, and MLS, as well as collegiate, high school, and recreational athletes. He continues to serve as a physician for the U.S. Men’s & Women’s Ski and Snowboard Teams and is the team physician for the University of Denver men’s and women’s soccer teams.
Throughout his career, Dr. Haber has received numerous accolades for his research contributions. He has published peer-reviewed journal articles, developed new surgical techniques, authored textbook chapters, and created instructional videos. His work has been presented at national and international orthopedic conferences.
Dr. Haber’s clinical interests include labrum and rotator cuff repairs in the shoulder, total shoulder replacement, ACL reconstruction, patellofemoral stabilization, cartilage restoration, meniscal preservation, and hip arthroscopy for labral tears and impingement.
He is an active member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS), the Arthroscopy Association of North America (AANA), and the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine (AOSSM), where he serves on the Council of Delegates.
Outside of work, Dr. Haber enjoys spending time with his wife and four children. His hobbies include snowboarding, skiing, mountaineering, backpacking, soccer, and traveling. Dr. Haber sees patients at the Panorama Orthopedics & Spine Center’s Westminster Orchard office, located next to St. Anthony North Hospital. He works closely with his outstanding physician assistants, Brooke Mansfield, PA-C, and Sofia Cortopassi, PA-C.
