Medical icon Mitchel Robinson, MD

Mitchel S. Robinson, MD is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine and has a clinical emphasis on minimally invasive surgeries of the knee and shoulder.  He has a special interest in primary and revision ACL reconstruction, as well as arthroscopic rotator cuff repair and shoulder stabilization.

He graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Colorado at Boulder, majoring in molecular biology. As captain of the men’s tennis team at the University of Colorado, he was named to the Academic and Athletic All-Big 8 Teams.

Dr. Robinson earned his medical degree from the University of Southern California School of Medicine, where he graduated as a Deans Scholar. He completed his internship and residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Colorado School of Medicine, where he was named Chief Resident. Dr. Robinson completed a one-year fellowship in sports medicine and arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder and knee at Panorama Orthopedics & Spine Center.  He is currently the Head of Sports Medicine at Panorama.

Outside of his clinical responsibilities, Dr. Robinson regularly invests in the Denver community.  He is the team physician for Denver University’s men’s and women’s soccer teams, as well as the team physician for Colorado Christian University.  In addition, he volunteers for the National Western Stock Show and Rodeo, helping to care for the injured bull riders and rodeo athletes.
