Golden, CO — Oct. 5, 2012 — The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has said it is coordinating a multistate investigation of meningitis among patients who received epidural steroid injections (medication injected into the spine). There is a link to an injectable steroid medication. However, Colorado is not one of the states that received the potentially contaminated medication.
Golden Ridge Surgery Center does not receive ANY pharmaceutical stock, including the injectable steroid in question, from the company that manufactured the potentially contaminated steroid.
About 75 facilities could have received the steroid in 23 states. They are California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, North Carolina, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Nevada, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, Texas and West Virginia.
